Christopher is a hard working, innovative young man dedicated to bettering the planet, the environment and those around him.

Christopher has shown a dedication to the planet, the environment and those around him through his actions over many years. Though only 20 years old, he has held, and continues to hold, positions of leadership assisting a wide variety of volunteers to help make a difference.

As an Amigos de las Americas Project Supervisor in Cusco Peru, Christopher is currently helping lead a group of American volunteers, Peruvian university students and Peruvian governmental agencies to make a difference in rural Peruvian communities through health, educational and community based initiatives. He has served in various leadership capacities with Amigos for over 5 years in Paraguay, Panama, Nicaragua, Ecuador and now Peru. He also directs over 200 hours per year training youth volunteers in Tucson for their work in Latin America.

Christopher believes strongly in the capacity for volunteers to make a difference in the lives of others. He has dedicated much of the past five years to increasing the effectiveness and span of multiple programs.

As a freshman at the University of Arizona, Christopher became a member of Students for Sustainability. With hard work, innovative thinking and desire he became the Director of the program his sophomore year. In that capacity he has lead students from a variety of backgrounds to create and implement programs and policies at the University of Arizona including community gardens, green housing, recycling and reduction of waste.

He was also selected to participate in the University of Arizona's reception of President Barack Obama when the President came to Tucson after the January 8, 2011 shootings.

A strong supporter of local food, musicians, artists, and media, Christopher gets involved in the community no matter where he is located. He is fluent in English, Spanish, and Portuguese, and is able to communicate in Hindi and Italian. Extremely articulate and deeply caring, he has built lasting relationships with people from many different backgrounds and communities all over the world.

Passionate about the under-served, Christopher is working on a degree in International Studies and Regional Development. He plans to do research work in Brazil next spring in the favelas of Rio de Janeiro.

Non-judgmental, optimistic and eternally searching for a way to make a difference in the lives of those who might need it most, Christopher is a dynamic young man with an impressive past, a wonderful present and an amazing future.
